The LED spotlights are high-performance (energy-saving), long-lasting (50,000 hours) and are far superior to halogen and incandescent types. They produce little heat and do not require to be installed underwater in order to dissipate the heat.

We strongly recommend the use of nozzles with LED lights instead of nozzles with halogen or incandescent lamps.

The prime characteristic of a LED spotlight is the clear and chromaticity efficient white beam of light because it is emitted with a reduced angle centred on the jet of water, and since they are installed on the surface the cone of light reaches the object free from any physical obstacle.

Traditional lights need to be installed underwater and as a consequence the intensity of light is reduced:
- by the head of the cooling water;
- by the metal plates, suitable for pedestrian access, or by the floor level protection glass
- by the layer of mud and limestone which unavoidably is deposited and which will not be removed every week.

The lamps fitted in traditional lights must be replaced quite frequently as they have a short life-span and because of thermal shocks which also contribute in shortening their life. The problem is not down to the cost of the lamps but the complexity of replacing them in a timely manner.
